The world's richest man and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has bought the social media platform Twitter a few days ago and has fired people sitting in the top position.  

After this, many employees working in Twitter are being fired and about 90 percent of Twitter staff in India have been laid off.  Alam is that only 12 employees working in Twitter in India are left.

Most of the Twitter employees who lost their jobs in India were part of the product and engineering team.  Not only in India, Musk is also weeding out Twitter employees in the global market.

A source close to the matter has told that 70 percent of the job cuts in India are related to the product and engineering team.

  Apart from this, employees working in positions related to marketing, public policy and corporate communications have also been fired. 

 The California tech company has nearly halved its workforce and only about 3,700 employees are now part of it.

Twitter has offices in only three cities in India

Twitter India's offices are located in the country's capital New Delhi, apart from Mumbai and Bangalore.

 Along with the changes being made by Musk, Twitter Blue subscription service will also be launched in India soon and users will have to pay for Blue Tick.
